Mindfulness Based-Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week course that has weekly meetings for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. There is also a one day weekend retreat usually between weeks 6 and 7.
- sitting and walking meditation,
- guided body awareness,
- mindful movement (light yoga/qi gong) and
- group discussions.
A commitment to daily meditation practice during the course is highly encouraged to maximize benefits.
